Evie goes to the "Doctor"

No telling how many times each member of our family has been assessed by Dr. Emery.  I could recite Berenstein Bears Go to the Doctor by heart.   Sometimes it makes me feel too rigid tell my nicely requesting 2 year old that no, I won't lie down mid task to have my stomach pummeled and my ears prodded; which is why I occassionally find myself sprawled on the carpet as Emery instructs me "breed deep" and presses her toy stethescope to my lungs.  Unfortunately, she is just as afraid of the doctor as she is obsessed with pretending to be one.  I really hope this turns around before her long awaited cardiologist appointment mid February.  Something tells me that for Emery, an echocardiogram can't be prefaced with The Berenstein Bears.  We'll see.  In the meantime, Evie continues to humor Emery's frequent exams, halleleuia, and I try my best to hold up my end of the deal and "breed deep."

The photos are adorable! I do wonder why the stethoscope is so terrifying - the fusspot was screaming so loudly at the doctors this week that he couldn't even hear her so I had to feed her through the whole appointment - poor man got to see an awful lot of me in addition to one sick toddler.

Love those pictures.

I think my day (every day) would go better if I just took a little time to "breed deep".

The appointmet is Feb 15th, which is supposed to provide us the answer to whether or not her ASD and secondary issues will resolve on their own without surgical intervention. I am hopeful. She still is asymptomatic besides the murmur so that's as much as I can hope for.

Hugs and kisses from Rah Rah accepted. Spirit fingers back at you.
