- took 12 spice bottles from the pantry and lined them along my bedroom window sill, then garlic salted them all, a good half bottle's worth
- Applied an entire container of yogurt to her arms, legs, face and neck as "lotion"
- Pushed a chair across the room to the counter, climbed up, retrieved a pen then colored her feet and legs with black ink streaks enough so that bath time took 3 times as long that night.
- Dug in my husband's night stand for a writing utensil, which she found, and colored the entirety of our master bed sheet with "drawings and Elmo"
- Found a pitcher in the kitchen, ran to the bath to fill it up, then drug it across the floor, leaving a trail of spilled water until she came upon one of our unsuspecting dogs and gave him a "bath"
- Hunted then emptied a whole bag of chocolate chips I'd set out on the counter for baking into a skillet she retrieved from the cabinet. Then brought it to her toddler table for a sit down meal and consumed a mouthful before I discovered her
I've taken to bringing her into the bathroom with me and locking the door to keep her captive.
Please, please tell me I'm not the only one.

no, you're definitely not the only one. my 15 month old has already managed to find a jar of jam in the pantry, which was too heavy for him to hold so he dropped it and it shattered, sending glass and preserves all over my kitchen floor. thankfully no one was sliced by the flying glass!!
Yesterday my 2 year old called from the kitchen, "I want a bagel." I told him he would have to wait a few minutes because I was nursing his baby brother. When I got into the kitchen, I found that he had climbed up on a chair, gotten the bag of (mini) bagels off the shelf, opened it, taken one large bite out of each bagel, and built a tower with them. It was so funny I took a picture of it.
I'm impressed with Emery's creativity and speed.
I've caught my son, 21 months old, sitting on the table emptying the salt and pepper shakers. I've also found him standing on top of the laptop (which was on a desk).
She's a smart one, that girl. :)
I don't have any stories quite that good. We did spend 30 minutes searching for one of her "critters" today, only to find drawers in different rooms throughout the house filled with letters, crackers, critters, and a couple of Christmas ornaments. And I have no idea when any of it got put in the different drawers.
Tatum would and could do it IF I didn't have a LOCK on all things - every cabinet except for the one with Tupperware has a lock, Fridge has a lock, Toilet has a lock which has now been removed because well after all she needs to potty by herself. I gate off her bedroom so she can't jump in her bed while I am busy - we have had to remove all items from the counters - all above is because she is 2.5 and YES she could destroy the kitchen in seconds ... so yep it isn't just you - it was us too!
Now that her brother is walking and playing it is much easier - they occupy each other while I shower - but I often have to jump out due to sreams (usually hair pulling)
Wouldn't trade any of it for the WORLD!
Oh my goodness, I don't mean to laugh at your troubles, but the bulleted list made me laugh out loud. What an adventurous little lady. We certainly have our share of marker drawings on the walls, but I think having an older brother keeps my 2-year-old in check. My older one got in more trouble for sure--once he gave a "haricut" to a friend (a girl) who was over for a playdate. That was fun to explain to her parents...
