I initially began blogging at the start of 2007 after 2 and a half years of hitting all the bumps on the infertility road to starting a family. I needed a place to exhale the years of disappointment and heartache that depleted me. Surprisingly, not even 2 months after my infertility blogging began, my body disqualified me from the IF struggle with the unexpected pregnancy that gave us our daughter, Emery.
And so it went that I stepped out of the dark and into the sunlight as the once infertility blog turned to pregnancy, then parenting, then a pregnancy while parenting blog with the pregnancy of our second daughter, Eve. After her birth, I feel as if my writing deserves a fresh start that better reflects who I am now: content, grateful, full.
Finally, I have arrived with a complete family, dumbfounded and grateful for a rich life that I couldn't quite imagine could be mine not all that long ago. These days, my arms are full of girls, and my heart is ever so full to the very brim. So I'm making effort to continue to honor the writing that accompanied me full circle, the outlet that seems to preserve my sanity as well as the memory and the story of my two beautiful girls.

Wow -- you are the person I was looking for when I wrote recently about there not being much overlap between IF and home birth/natural birth! It sounds like we have a lot in common. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I will definitely be adding you to my reader!
